Our History
Dollar Loan Center was founded in 1998 by Charles “Chuck” Brennan, who remains CEO today. Recognizing that payday loans (flat fees for holding post-dated checks) were a bad deal for consumers, DLC pioneered the simple interest signature loan — no check required, no collateral, interest accrues daily and never compounds.
Our first branch opened in Las Vegas, Nevada. Controlled expansion from 1999 through 2008 — including both organic growth and acquisitions — built a stronghold in Las Vegas, Reno/Carson City, and greater Salt Lake City. We now run 80+ locations across Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Wisconsin, plus online lending in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Delaware.
